Deb Fox

Clinical System Analyst

Deb Fox joined the Ambassador team in September of 1995 as a Charge Nurse. Since that time she has served as the MDS Coordinator at both The Ambassador Nebraska City and The Ambassador Lincoln and has held the position of Director of Clinical Services at The Ambassador Nebraska City for five years. She currently serves as the Clinical System Analyst for The Ambassador Group.

Deb began her career in healthcare at the age of thirteen as a dietary aide in a nursing home. Throughout her high school years, she worked as a nursing assistant. At nineteen she graduated from LPN school and eleven years later from RN school. She served as a LVN in the Army Reserves.

Deb’s entire career focus has been in the care of the elderly. She feels very strongly about expanding her knowledge base through continuing her education. Deb is currently a RN-BC (Registered Nurse-Board Certified-Gerontology) and a CRNAC (Certified Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator). She is currently working towards her CNE (Certified Nurse Executive) certification. Deb’s long term career goals include wound and ostomy certification and becoming a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.

Deb currently serves as a board member for Heartland Gerontics Chapter (the local chapter of the National Gerontological Nurses Association) and is on the leadership team of the Nebraska Aging Enrichment Coalition. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Executives.

In her spare time, Deb enjoys reading, listening to audio books, baking, gardening and animals. She likes to spend time with her daughter Crystal, who is an Occupational Therapist for The Ambassador and her two grandchildren, Sam and Eliza. She enjoys family nights with cards and games and meeting friends for coffee and dinner.
