Your Choice. Your Care. Your Dignity. Your Home.

Pediatric Care
A pioneer in pediatric care, The Ambassador established the region’s first Pediatric Pulmonary Special Care Unit in 1995. As a rehabilitation and post-acute care facility, we continue to serve children with a wide range of services that enable us to administer extended care programs or make the transition from hospital to home.

The Ambassador Pediatrics staff represents a diverse range of specially trained pediatric professionals, including: pediatric nurses, physicians, social workers, nutritionists, and even a pediatric recreation specialist. Together, they are instrumental in achieving the necessary results.

The Ambassador Omaha Pediatric Pulmonary Special Care Unit offers programs tailored to the needs of infants as young as one month old, and children up to age 19. These may include such clinical needs as:

  • Ventilator Management
  • Extensive Pulmonary Rehabilitation
  • Extended Health Care Needs
  • Multiple Medical Diagnoses

This is no substitute for family involvement and this belief is reflected in all we do at The Ambassador. For those children making the transition from hospital to home, individualized training programs are set up for all who will be involved in the home care. For those who are part of long-term care, family members are encouraged to participate in planning the child’s daily routine – including prescribed therapies and daily living activities.
